Dr. Paul Stanton

Dr. Paul Stanton’s professional background includes experience in both the educational and private sectors.  Prior to accepting his current position as HUSD Superintendent, he served in various administrative positions, including those of Assistant Superintendent for Educational Services in the Liberty School District in Buckeye and principal of Diamond Canyon School in the Deer Valley Unified School District.   In the private sector, he worked for the Mobil Oil and MCI Corporations in the areas of consulting and management.

Dr. Stanton’s professional preparation includes a BS in Business Administration, Marketing & Finance from Marquette University, as well as Masters’ degrees in Elementary Education and Educational Administration and Supervision, and a Doctorate in Educational Administration, from Arizona State University.

His educational philosophy is anchored in the belief that all students will learn in the context of principle-centered leadership and high-quality research guiding all instructional decisions.

He is a member of the Boards for the Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce, Arizona ASCD (Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development) and the Arizona K12 Center.
