Ms. Whitman is currently serving as an administrator at Estrella Foothills High School. She has worked in the field of education for the past 19 years. Prior to entering administration, Ms. Whitman was a Physical Education educator at both the elementary and high school levels. As a teacher, she was a Golden Apple Award Nominee in Illinois, Teacher of the Year at Liberty Elementary, and was the recipient of the first Leader of the Pack Award at Estrella Foothills High School. In addition to her teaching duties, Ms. Whitman has been a basketball, softball, tennis, and volleyball coach. She served as Student Council Advisor at every school where she has worked. At EFHS, as Senior Class Advisor, she started the Homecoming Parade tradition that allows the local community and elementary schools to be a part of the high school festivities. At EFHS, she has also served on the staff development committee planning and conducting inservices for teachers and as a member of a grant committee that has implemented projects such as the Estrella Educational Essentials Handbook for all students that provides consistency across campus on the teaching of identified vital concepts and the Tracks to Success program that helps mentor students through Career and Technical Education programs integrated with core subjects. Prior to entering the field of education, Ms. Whitman worked in the field of Fashion Merchandising and was a General Operations Manager in the car industry. She received her Bachelors in Physical Education from Greenville College, her Associates degree in Fashion Merchandising from Ray Vogue College of Design, and her Masters in Educational Administration and Supervision from Arizona State University.
