Lori Mora

Lori Mora, Assistant Principal of Deer Valley Middle School in the Deer Valley Unified School District, has served on the AZASCD board of directors for 5 years.   Lori holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in K-12
special and general education from National Lewis University and a M.ED in Educational Administration and Supervision from Arizona State University.  Lori has been in education for 23 years and has taught
special education at multiple grade levels in self contained and inclusive practice settings.   She also has taught general education language arts and science.  Lori has developed and led staff development workshops on a variety of educational topics including technology integration, assessment and effective use of data, accommodations and modifications, differentiation and inclusive practices for the general education classroom and positive behavioral supports and intervention strategies.  As an ASCD scholar, Lori contributes regularly to Educational Leadership magazine columns. Lori is passionate about meeting the needs of the whole child and is currently implementing the ASCD Healthy Communities initiative at Deer
Valley Middle School.
