Kate Wright is the Deputy Associate Superintendent of the Office of English Language Acquisition Services and Migrant and Homeless Education within the Arizona Department of Education. Prior to this position, she served as the Dean of Specialized Programs for the College of Education at the University of Phoenix. She received a B.A. in English and Secondary Education from Salisbury University, a M.Ed. in Teaching English as a Second Language from Grand Canyon University. Kate has been active in K-12 education for the past 20 years, as a secondary English and Language Arts teacher, District Coordinator, Education Program Specialist for the Arizona Department of Education and Higher Education Administrator. As a local and national presenter, Wright focuses on educational policy and the impact of professional development on teachers and student achievement.
